JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Analyst I
SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $90,000 depending on location and experience:
CLASS: Salaried, Ag Exempt Professional
FUNCTION: The Quality Assurance Analyst I is primarily responsible for verification and documentation of internal software programs. Direct collaboration with key members of the software development lifecycle will be critical to ensure adherence to quality standards including reliability, usability, and performance of identified software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand the quality assurance process and identify/implement best practices:
o Recognize business processes and implications of projects/functionality
o Research industry standards for quality assurance programs and provide recommendations for team strategies
o Adhere to established testing standards during development and deployment to ensure software programs meet requirements
Analyze and document functionality through test plans; execute test plans thoroughly
Manage project timelines to ensure milestones are reached, with emphasis on time management during the testing phase of the software development lifecycle and potential on site implementation
Engage software development team in appropriate communication and meetings to keep team focused on achieving deliverables; engage with other project stakeholders as directed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Extensive knowledge of Agile methodology
Minimum 2 years of manual testing experience
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Project management experience
Knowledge or willingness to learn foundational SQL
Ability to perform user training when required
Willing to travel up to 20% of the time
COMPETENCY:
Expectation to learn and understand multi-faceted cattle feeding platforms including desktop and web applications, APIs, and complex, data-driven reports, and execute thorough manual testing (application, UI, and database testing).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work in office and feedyard setting. Intermediate travel is required. Sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, working at heights, reaching at all levels, grasping, lifting, carrying, climbing and other demands may be necessary per scope of work.
